For the last few years we have organised extended trips lasting for several days to areas of interest. The tours offer the opportunity to get to know more about interesting places and sites with a group of like-minded individuals. Traveling as a group allows us to organise guides and sometimes allows us to see things normally off-limits to the general public.

So far we have travelled to:

  • Pompeii and the Bay of Naples (2008)
  • Hadrian’s Wall (2009)
  • Malta (2010)
  • Pembrokeshire (2011)
  • Normandy and Brittany (2012)
  • The Cinque Ports (2013)
  • The Fenlands (2014)
  • Northern Cyprus (2015)
  • Shropshire and the Welsh Borders (2016)
  • Copenhagen (2017)
  • Northumberland (2018)

2019 Trip

Planning is in progress for a trip to the Essex and Suffolk area from the 12th to the 15th July 2019, during which we plan to look around Colchester, Lavenham, Sutton Hoo and various other places of interest along the way.

If you think you may be interested, then there is a description in the January 2019 BAHS newsletter.
