BAHS
Fieldwork

We organise a number of events each year, intended to get members involved with the practical side of archaeology. These include:

  • A weekend training excavation
  • A field walking programme
  • Assisting with local excavations
  • Working on the Hampshire Museums Service’s Archaeological stores

Society members participating in an archaeology weekend at Basing House in April 2004. The objective was to trace the extent of this part of the former house’s structure.

If you would like to get involved or find out more about our fieldwork activities please contact us.
